BERNARD
CARNEY ‘Entertainer of the Year’
Australian folk singer/songwriter at HALSWAY MANOR
“a delight to listen to and a performer worth seeing again
and again”
Bernard Carney is a man with a guitar who loves entertaining people
with his songs. An exceptional wordsmith, his witty lyrics perfectly
complement his musical styles.
His native Lancashire lost him to the sunny shores of Perth, Western
Australia some thirty years ago, but this autumn he was back on
a UK tour.
Bernard has a strong streak of passion for humanity. His landmine
song, 'Gardens of Death,' has been used as the musical dialogue
for the International Red Cross educational video 'Shattered Lives'.
Bernard’s relaxed and humorous style, and seemingly endless
repertoire of songs - old and new - make him popular with all ages.
An evening that everyone enjoyed.
